Find Out How to Get Your Cases Filed in Any Jurisdiction

Shaddi Kamiabipour has worked for the County of Orange for over 18 years. She joined the Orange County District Attorney's office in June of 2000. In October of 2009 she was assigned to the Insurance Fraud Unit. Shortly thereafter, she successfully tried and convicted Michael Petronella for committing workers' compensation premium fraud in a multi-million dollar loss case. Petronella was sentenced to 10 years in state prison, his conviction was affirmed and the case resulted in a published decision by the appellate court.

Ms. Kamiabipour has since developed a specialty in prosecuting medical providers who were involved in multi-million dollar fraud schemes and has prosecuted over 50 defendants for committing over 490 millions dollars in insurance fraud. Ms. Kamiabipour has received the following awards for her efforts in fraud prosecutions: Law Enforcement Officer award of the year in 2016 from the International Association of Special Investigation Units and her office won the Multi-jurisdictional Investigative Excellence Award from the National Chapter of the same organization in 2016. She was recognized as the National Prosecutor of the Year by the Employers Fraud Task force and the WeTip organization in 2016. In December of 2017, she received the award for Prosecutor of the Year from Coalition Against Fraud Insurance, a national organization.

She is a frequent speaker at the California District Attorney’s Association, the Northern California Fraud Investigator’s Association, and Southern California Fraud Investigators Association and conducts training for employers and insurance companies.
